HLTAID003 – Provide First Aid $99
HLTAID003 Provide First Aid is a contemporary course which provides participants with the knowledge and skill to confidently recognise, respond effectively and safely to an emergency situation requiring first aid.
The course is suitable for the general public, students and corporate clients. Gain confidence to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance.
This is the advised minimum requirement by Workplace Health & Safety Legislation for the workplace first aider.
On completion of this course you qualify as a Workplace First Aider.
The Statement of Attainment is recognised throughout Australia and is on ACECQA list of approved first aid courses.
The course assessment will be done using adult and infant resuscitation manikins in line with ARC Guidelines for the purpose of assessment of CPR procedures.
Also, assessment will utilise first aid equipment including:
- roller bandages
- triangular bandages cloth
- trauma dressings
- placebo bronchodilator and spacer device
- adrenalin auto-injector training device
- an AED training device
- emergency rescue blanket
- workplace first aid kit.
If students have already have extensive experience in the medical, community services industry you may be able to apply for RPL . HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
This course provides students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies.
To be deemed competent in the unit HLTAID001 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation participants will be required to demonstrate the ability to;
Respond to an emergency situation
Perform CPR procedures
Communicate details of the incident
Infection Control (Non-accredited)
This course describes the skills and knowledge required to follow organisational infection prevention and control procedures, including implementing standard and transmission-based precautions and responding to infection risks.
This course applies to individuals working in health and direct client care contexts.
