About the Australian Apprenticeships Incentives Program

Do you want to work in the hospitality sector – restaurants, hotels, clubs, coffee shops etc? With the nationally accredited Certificate III in Hospitality you will have the skills and knowledge to work in the hospitality sector.

The Australian Government has introduced a number of programs to assist employers who employ an Australian apprentice/trainee, particularly in cases where the industry is experiencing a skills shortage. These initiatives provide financial support to eligible employers through the Australian Apprenticeships Incentives Program.

Assistance on all aspects of Australian Apprenticeships can be obtained from an Australian Apprenticeship Support Network. (AASN). AASN provide information and assistance to employers, apprentices and others, marketing and promoting Australian apprenticeships and administering Government incentive payments to employers and apprentices.

The staff at TIAWA – Training Institute of Australasia – will assist you during the registration/application process.

Employers of an Australian apprentice may be eligible for financial assistance through:

  • Standard, additional and special incentives
  • Support for adult Australian apprentices
  • Support for employing an Australian school-based apprentice
  • Assistance for Australian apprentices with disability

Eligibility for incentives under the Australian Apprenticeships Incentives Program may be affected by the duration of the employment relationship you have with your current employee.
